"Andrew has been teaching our son, Matthew, how to play the piano for more than 7 years. Matthew has Down syndrome with associated learning difficulties and it was not easy to find a teacher with the necessary patience, enthusiasm and willingness to adapt to Matthew's pace. Matthew loves his lessons and enjoys the quizzes Andrew often adds at the end of each session.

Matthew struggles to read music. Andrew uses technology to overcome this, using a memory stick with lots of favourite tunes which Matthew plays the melody to recorded backgrounds from Andrew.

During lockdown lessons have continued using Facetime, this is a highlight in Matthew's week, we too love to listen to him playing and feel very proud of what he has achieved all thanks to the dedication of Andrew.
