Instruments
Blaydon Music Academy provides professional private tuition from beginner to advanced for all of the instruments listed. Most of our lessons are 30 minutes long but we can also provide longer or shorter sessions if required. Paired or small grouped lessons are also offered for most instruments.
Whether you are a beginner or someone who wants to brush up on your skills we can offer a suitable range of courses for you to follow. You may want to progress through the Associated Board, London College or Rock School piano grade systems or play purely for pleasure, either way, we will teach you in a relaxed, friendly (and fun!) environment to help you achieve your goals. Many students start their musical journey on a keyboard or portable electric piano so even if you don't have space for that Steinway grand, there's no excuse not to have a go!

Piano
We provide acoustic, electric, bass guitar and ukulele lessons from beginner to advanced. All genres and styles are covered including, classical, rock, jazz, country and blues or maybes a mixture of everything! We can guide you through Rockschool and RGT exams or perhaps teach you that song you've been dreaming of performing at your local buskers night!

Age 7+
Guitar and Ukelele
Our keyboard lessons are an ideal opportunity to explore the incredible amount of features that a modern keyboard has to offer. We can show you the huge variety of different voices and styles available to you at the touch of a button whilst you learn to read and play music from Beethoven to the Beatles, Chopin to Coldplay! We can offer you LCM keyboard exams or you may just want to have fun and learn how to get the best from these amazing instruments!

Age 3+
Keyboard and Organ
Playing the drums involves a unique blend of coordination and timing which we will help develop in our private one to one drum lessons. We will guide you through different styles and technique and tailor your lessons around to what you want to achieve, whether it is advancing through Rockschool drum grades, jamming along with your favourite artist or playing in a band with your mates. And now electronic kits are so affordable your neighbours won't hear a thing!
Age 9+
Drums
Our private one to one saxophone lessons will help to develop your improvisation, solo and band skills as well as learning all about music notation and understanding rhythm. Both classical and jazz styles are covered so why not "Take Five" and discover why this is the most popular wind instrument!
Age 10+
Saxophone
Singing
The human voice. The most natural and expressive instrument. Our one to one vocal lessons will show how to sing lead lines and harmonies as well as how to read music and techniques to get the best out of your voice. Many people are surprised to see that, just like any traditional instrument, the voice can be trained with amazing results.
Age 5+
